Residents in a Hollywood Hills neighborhood are on edge after a man has been caught on video trespassing in the yards of people's homes. Residents said videos caught on doorbell cameras show the man acting erratically, and they are concerned he might be dangerous.The man has allegedly been knocking on doors at all hours of the day and night, yelling obscenities and even engaging in lewd behavior.In at least two separate incidents, neighbors said the man showed up to a Beachwood Drive apartment complex on June 8.The previous day, a similar incident was reported about a mile away.The man was also seen in front of a home on Deronda Drive twice within the same hour.Neighbors believe it is the same person in each of the cases.The landlord of the Beachwood apartment complex said the incidents are alarming and out of the ordinary.Vanessa Beecroft said she was home with her children when the man began violently knocking at her door and yelling incoherently.“I was under the impression that t...New research gives insight into why the 'Big One' hasn't hit Los Angeles yet

An Orange County doctor was sentenced to more than 12 years in prison for prescribing opioids and other drugs to people who did not medically need them.Dr. Dzung Ahn Pham, 61, was sentenced to 12 years and 7 months in federal prison on Friday, according to the U.S. Department of Justice. The Tustin-based physician also was fined $35,000.Pham, the owner of Irvine Village Urgent Care, pleaded guilty in October to one count of conspiracy to distribute controlled substances after he "conspired with licensed pharmacist Jennifer Thaoyen Nguyen, 52, of Irvine, who operated the Irvine-based Bristol Pharmacy, to illegally distribute narcotics, including opioids," the DOJ said. OAKLAND — A Montclair bank branch was robbed Thursday afternoon by the same man who robbed it in January, authorities said.Thursday’s robbery happened about 4:55 p.m. at the Wells Fargo Bank branch, which is in the Village Square Shopping Center, 2220 Mountain Blvd.Police said the suspect briefly stood in line before approaching a teller, claiming to have a gun and demanding cash.
