Broadway actor Chris Peluso dies at 40

NEW YORK (WPIX) – Chris Peluso, a Broadway actor who appeared in "Mamma Mia!" and several other productions, has died at the age of 40, his family confirmed to Playbill.Playbill reported that Peluso stepped away from the spotlight back in 2022 to deal with schizoaffective disorder. His cause of death wasn't revealed.In addition to his role in "Mamma Mia!" on Broadway, Peluso was also described by Playbill as a "favored understudy" who covered roles in "Assassins," "Lestat" and "Beautiful: The Carole King Musical." LOCKHART, Texas (KXAN) — Fire crews are fighting a brushfire in Lockhart that started Friday afternoon. WILDFIRE TRACKER: How many acres have burned in Central Texas this year? The Texas A&M Forest Service estimates the fire was 150 acres and 100% contained as of Saturday afternoon. It has been named the Barth Fire.Caldwell County Office of Emergency Management said crews will continue to monitor the fire, but it will take three to four days until the fire is controlled. Two people were found dead in north Aurora Saturday morning and homicide investigations are underway.Aurora Fire Rescue responded to a report of an unresponsive person lying on the ground near the intersection of East 22nd Avenue and Galena Street, the Aurora Police Department said in a Saturday morning tweet. Emergency responders determined the person was dead.Police responded to the scene at 6:55 a.m. and a second person was found dead nearby.
